For instance, the Met Office forecast might be for medium air quality, but then there is an accident and the traffic is at stand still; suddenly an area that had low to medium air quality has poor quality. Now imagine this information is shared in this app, then all subscribers in the location would be alerted to the change in air quality.

I want to take advantage of the UK government's big data project, which has opened up quality data to the public.

This app will provide real time location specific air quality alerts to you anywhere in the UK. This will be done by aggregating data from the Met Office, Defra, Ordnance Survey, BBC and subscriber input.
