Free, welcoming events and podcasts to connect you to global issues on philosophy, science, culture and philosophy
COULD YOU HELP CAFE CULTURE TO DESIGN A COMMUNITY APP?
We need 150 people to join the Cafe Culture North East app movement to help us design an app that has global potential.
We want to develop an app to ignite public ideas and connect people.
So, if someone wanted more information on 'how virtual reality helps autism' or 'new cell therapies' or 'digital civics' they can connect to our audio podcasts to hear the latest ideas.
This will then ignite their own ideas which they can choose to:
1) feed back to researchers and academics directly to help give feedback and embed the public's own ideas
2) connect with others who also want to share ideas and interact on the issue

Café Culture North East is a welcoming café-style thoughtful public discussion on issues of global importance from culture, politics, philosophy and science. Open to all, no need to book (unless otherwise stated), no prior knowledge needed, just a like-minded desire for convivial and lively banter in an inclusive, welcoming setting. Events are free. Donations welcome. We podcast our events, responding to requests from people unable to attend due to work, caring or health issues.

Events run 6.30pm – 9pm (Talk begins at 7pm) at
Costa Coffee in Blackwell’s Bookshop
141 Percy Street
Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 7RS.
Snacks and refreshments are available before the event and during the break. Hi all, we are getting supporters quickly, but need to get 150 within two weeks for our app to go ahead, so if you are able to share with anyone else you think would support it that would be fantastic!
