Deek- Directory of Recovery

Sharing resources that support recovery in your community
Deek has been developed over the past three years in collaboration with the recovery community in the North East. The aim is to share accurate up-to-date information about recovery resources in local communities.
Focus groups and workshops have demonstrated that there are community assets which can add to an individual or community's recovery capital. In addition to larger commissioned projects, there is a rich vein of places and people who support recovery. One consultation listed 198 resources in a city, only 13 of which were commissioned.
Doctors have indicated to us that having access to this information would be a significant aid to alleviating patients' isolation and loneliness
We are looking for people to get involved in the development of the app and become a contributor - the ethos of Deek is that it should be driven by consumers as much as by providers.

Hi everyone. Whilst the Deek website is still in development, I've been given details of this fantastic resource. We're aiming at getting 150 contributors and then the app can go into production.
